About The Somerville Hotel
Where is The Somerville Hotel in Jersey?
The Somerville Hotel is a 4-star country house hotel on Mont du Boulevard, St Aubin, Jersey (JE3 8AD), in the Channel Islands. It sits on the hillside above St Aubin’s harbour village, with views across St Aubin’s Bay towards Elizabeth Castle. The harbour, the Bulwarks and St Aubin’s cafés, galleries and restaurants are a short stroll downhill.
What makes The Somerville different from other 4-star hotels in Jersey?
The Somerville is a family-owned Victorian country house hotel with 59 individually shaped rooms, antique furnishings and uninterrupted views over St Aubin’s harbour. It combines the quiet of a hillside retreat with an easy walk into one of Jersey’s prettiest harbour villages. It is part of Dolan Hotels, one of Jersey’s longest-established hotel groups.
Is The Somerville a quiet, relaxing hotel?
Yes. The hotel’s hillside position above St Aubin gives it a peaceful, unhurried feel, with gardens, sun terraces and sea views to enjoy. Guests often describe it as somewhere to slow down, yet the lively harbour village is only a few minutes’ walk away.
Is The Somerville a good hotel for families?
We do welcome children over the age of 4, but none of our rooms can accept more than 2 people per room, and we need to have a person over 16 years old in each room, so are not ideal for families. Our sister hotels The Golden Sands Hotel and The Hotel Cristina have family rooms for up to 6 (4 adults and 2 children) so are better suited to families.

Yes. Gift vouchers for stays, dining and afternoon tea at The Somerville can be bought online, and they make a thoughtful gift for an anniversary, wedding or birthday.
Is the Somerville a dog friendly hotel?

Is the Somerville Hotel accessible?
The hotel entrance is level with the car park, and there is a lift to all floors as well as ramp access to both the bar and the restaurant so the hotel is suitable for those with limited mobility issues. Owing to its age and construction, there are no fully accessible rooms. There are stairs to both the pool and terrace, as well as the Superior Garden Sea View rooms.
